Ved at placere kontakterne mere bredt p\u00e5 bagsiden reduceres seriemodstanden, hvilket forbedrer cellens effektivitet.  <\/p>\n<p>Det prim\u00e6re absorptionslag i en IBC-solcelle er en krystallinsk siliciumskive (c-Si), som kan v\u00e6re enten n-type eller p-type. Dette lag skabes ved at dope siliciumet med bor eller fosfor, afh\u00e6ngigt af den \u00f8nskede polaritet. For yderligere at forbedre cellens ydeevne p\u00e5f\u00f8res en passiverings- og antirefleksbel\u00e6gning, typisk lavet af SiO, for at minimere refleksion og beskytte overfladen.  <\/p>\n<p>Et andet vigtigt tr\u00e6k ved IBC-celler er diffusionslaget, hvor n-type og p-type regioner krydser hinanden. Blandt c-Si-mulighederne foretr\u00e6kkes monokrystallinsk silicium (mono c-Si) p\u00e5 grund af dets h\u00f8jere effektivitet, mens polykrystallinsk silicium (poly c-Si) stadig er et levedygtigt alternativ.  <\/p>\n<p>For at forbedre effektiviteten af c-Si-wafere p\u00e5f\u00f8res et antirefleks- og passiveringslag p\u00e5 den ene eller begge sider. Dette lag best\u00e5r ofte af siliciumdioxid (SiO2), som er termisk oxideret, men andre materialer som siliciumnitrid (SiNx) eller bornitrid (BNx) er ogs\u00e5 effektive til at minimere refleksion og beskytte waferens overflade. <\/p>\n<p>At flytte de forreste kontakter til bagsiden kr\u00e6ver, at der skabes diffusionslag, som best\u00e5r af krydsende n+- og p+-emitterlag. Disse dannes ved hj\u00e6lp af avancerede teknikker som maskeret diffusion, ionimplantation eller laserdoping med bor. Denne proces sikrer integrationen af p-type-regioner i n-type-waferen, samtidig med at dens strukturelle og elektriske integritet bevares.  <\/p>\n<p>Det sidste trin best\u00e5r i at placere metalkontakter udelukkende p\u00e5 bagsiden af cellen. Teknikker som laserablation eller v\u00e5d kemisk deponering anvendes til dette form\u00e5l.
