Deze innovatieve lay-out elimineert schaduw op het oppervlak van de cel, waardoor de algehele effici\u00ebntie wordt verbeterd. <\/li>\n<li>MWT (Metal Wrap Through) en EWT (Emitter Wrap Through) worden ook geclassificeerd als back-contact zonnecellen. Dit ontwerp elimineert schaduw aan de voorkant en zorgt voor maximale lichtabsorptie. Door de contacten breder aan de achterkant te plaatsen, wordt de serieweerstand verlaagd, wat de effici\u00ebntie van de cel verbetert.  <\/p>\n<p>De primaire absorptielaag in een IBC-zonnecel is een kristallijn silicium (c-Si) wafer, die van het n-type of het p-type kan zijn. Deze laag wordt gemaakt door het silicium te doperen met boor of fosfor, afhankelijk van de gewenste polariteit. Om de prestaties van de cel verder te verbeteren, wordt een passiverings- en antireflectielaag, meestal gemaakt van SiO, aangebracht om de reflectie te minimaliseren en het oppervlak te beschermen.  <\/p>\n<p>Een ander belangrijk kenmerk van IBC cellen is de diffusielaag, waar n-type en p-type gebieden elkaar kruisen. P-type wafers worden in bepaalde gevallen ook gebruikt. Van de c-Si-opties heeft monokristallijn silicium (mono c-Si) de voorkeur vanwege het hogere rendement, terwijl polykristallijn silicium (poly c-Si) een levensvatbaar alternatief blijft.  <\/p>\n<p>Om de effici\u00ebntie van c-Si wafers te verbeteren, wordt aan \u00e9\u00e9n of beide zijden een antireflecterende en passiverende laag aangebracht. Deze laag bestaat vaak uit siliciumdioxide (SiO2), dat thermisch wordt geoxideerd, hoewel andere materialen zoals siliciumnitride (SiNx) of boornitride (BNx) ook effectief zijn in het minimaliseren van reflectie en het beschermen van het waferoppervlak. <\/p>\n<p>Om de frontcontacten naar de achterkant te verplaatsen, moeten er diffusielagen worden gemaakt, bestaande uit elkaar kruisende n+ en p+ emitterlagen. Deze worden gevormd met behulp van geavanceerde technieken zoals gemaskeerde diffusie, ionenimplantatie of laserdotering met boor. Dit proces zorgt voor de integratie van p-type gebieden in de n-type wafer met behoud van de structurele en elektrische integriteit.  <\/p>\n<p>De laatste stap bestaat uit het plaatsen van metaalcontacten uitsluitend op de achterkant van de cel. Hiervoor worden technieken zoals laserablatie of natte chemische depositie gebruikt.
