Na parte da frente, \u00e9 depositada primeiro uma pel\u00edcula fina de sil\u00edcio amorfo intr\u00ednseco, seguida de uma pel\u00edcula fina de sil\u00edcio amorfo do tipo P para estabelecer a jun\u00e7\u00e3o P-N. A parte de tr\u00e1s \u00e9 revestida de forma semelhante com uma pel\u00edcula fina de sil\u00edcio amorfo intr\u00ednseco e uma pel\u00edcula fina de sil\u00edcio amorfo do tipo N, formando o campo da superf\u00edcie traseira.  <\/p><p>Uma vez que o sil\u00edcio amorfo tem baixa condutividade, s\u00e3o aplicados \u00d3xidos Condutores Transparentes (TCO) em ambos os lados da c\u00e9lula para facilitar a condu\u00e7\u00e3o eficiente da carga. Nas c\u00e9lulas solares HJT, apenas o sil\u00edcio monocristalino \u00e9 utilizado devido \u00e0 sua pureza e efici\u00eancia superiores, tornando-o ideal para aplica\u00e7\u00f5es de elevado desempenho. <\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Sil\u00edcio amorfo (a-Si)<\/strong><br>O sil\u00edcio amorfo surgiu na d\u00e9cada de 1970 como um material adequado para a tecnologia fotovoltaica de pel\u00edcula fina. Embora contenha naturalmente defeitos de densidade, estes s\u00e3o resolvidos atrav\u00e9s da hidrogena\u00e7\u00e3o, resultando no sil\u00edcio amorfo hidrogenado (a-Si:H). Esta modifica\u00e7\u00e3o melhora o seu bandgap e a sua capacidade de dopagem, tornando-o um componente indispens\u00e1vel na produ\u00e7\u00e3o de c\u00e9lulas HJT.  <\/p><\/li><li><p>\u00d3xido de estanho <strong>de \u00edndio (ITO)<\/strong><br>O \u00f3xido de estanho de \u00edndio \u00e9 o material preferido para a camada de \u00f3xido condutor transparente (TCO) em c\u00e9lulas solares HJT. A sua distin\u00e7\u00e3o \u00fanica reside na utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de um material absorvente de camada tripla que combina pel\u00edcula fina e concep\u00e7\u00f5es fotovoltaicas tradicionais. Quando uma carga \u00e9 ligada aos terminais do m\u00f3dulo, os fot\u00f5es s\u00e3o convertidos em energia el\u00e9ctrica, criando uma corrente que flui atrav\u00e9s da carga.  <\/p><p><strong>Absor\u00e7\u00e3o de fot\u00f5es e gera\u00e7\u00e3o de pares eletr\u00e3o-buraco<\/strong><br>Os fot\u00f5es que atingem a jun\u00e7\u00e3o P-N excitam os electr\u00f5es, movendo-os para a banda de condu\u00e7\u00e3o e formando pares eletr\u00e3o-buraco (e-h). Estes electr\u00f5es s\u00e3o recolhidos por terminais ligados \u00e0 camada dopada com P, gerando uma corrente que flui atrav\u00e9s da carga. Ap\u00f3s completar o circuito, os electr\u00f5es regressam ao contacto posterior da c\u00e9lula e recombinam-se com os buracos, fechando o ciclo e-h. Este ciclo cont\u00ednuo permite a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de eletricidade.   <\/p><p><strong>Reduzir a recombina\u00e7\u00e3o de superf\u00edcie<\/strong><br>A recombina\u00e7\u00e3o de superf\u00edcie, um fen\u00f3meno em que os electr\u00f5es emparelham com os buracos na superf\u00edcie das c\u00e9lulas fotovoltaicas c-Si normais, limita a sua efici\u00eancia ao impedir que os electr\u00f5es contribuam para o fluxo de corrente.
